After a long night of drinking, we were determined to indulge at the Oyster Bar before calling it a night - or morning I should say. Upon arrival at 4am, the bar was jam packed and we were behind another party of 2. The wait was about 10 minutes and once sat, the server Steve gave us a minute to look over the menu and being first timers I was definitely trying to order anything and everything.
We ordered:
1. Combo Pan Roast
2. 2 dozen oysters
3. A seafood jambalaya
4. Alaskan Clam Chowder
Everything here gets cooked in front of you and the chef is a master at his craft! He was SO good at making the dishes and shucking oysters simultaneously - I was super amazed. Our food came out piping hot and although everything was delicious, the Alaskan clam chowder was the winner for me. The crab meat came in chunks and it was probably the best thing that I've ever eaten. Wasn't too salty - just PERFECT! The oysters were super plumpy and I thought ordering 2 dozen for a party of 3 was way too much. It was crazy to see people still waiting in like at 5am to eat at this place but it's SO worth it. Just a heads up though, the plates are huge and are definitely shareable. I felt as though I ate a whole cow and barely made a dent in the seafood jambalaya.
All in all, the Alaskan chowder is a must but be prepared to wait to eat here. I will definitely be back.
