| - As a stylist myself, I always have a hard time trusting other people with my hair. However, as styles evolve, sometimes we have to look beyond our go-to stylist of 9 years to get what we want, and that's okay. I came across Bella Vida Salon on Yelp. After reading several reviews I decided to book my appointment with Alex. I called first thing in the morning and was immediately impressed when they answered before the second ring; the
salon opens at 9 am, and I called around 9:10 am or so. Because it was a Friday, I figured I would have to wait at least until the following week; however, due to someone's sudden cancellation they were able to take me in at 10 am that very day.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by Jai and offered a drink (anything from tea to a cappuccino). He then sat me down and talked to me about the Aveda stress-relieving treatment that they provided and introduced me to three of their scented oils. He had me smell all three, and after choosing one of them, he gave me a shoulder massage. Following the massage, I met Alex, and he consulted with me regarding what I wanted and what we could do. Throughout the entire service, I was very impressed with how well everyone communicated and worked together. As someone with a lot of hair, I was also happy with the fact that Alex foiled my whole head on his own (except for two foils by Miqkilla). This was by FAR the best salon experience I've ever had, and this is coming from someone that has worked in several.
You almost caught me at 'baby lights,' Alex. Sorry for not telling you I'm a stylist, I just wanted to be a client and let you work your magic. Thank you so much. See you again soon!
