| - Lots to do here, indoor and outdoor tennis, pong , basketball, indoor and outdoor pool, raquet, squash, aerobics, yoga and a daycare.
I really love this gym, it has everything you'd want to do short of an arcade. They have a spa and a salon that does hair, nails, the full nine. When you first walk in they have glass windows to view the 7 -8 indoor tennis courts so you can watch people play. The salon and spa are on the left and these are available to the public so no membership needed for that part.
There is a front desk where they greet you and ask for your ID tag. The front desk clerks are very fun people that we communicate with often. Pam and Matt are my favorite workers, they are always up for good conversation. There's a restaurant just past the desk, JT's @ the club. The owners of JT's rib shack in penn hills moved their restaurant to the club. It's a nice spot in their, more elegant and laid back. They serve sandwiches, wings, salads and a few specialty items that frequently change once a week or so. Still very good stuff and priced well.
Downstairs is where all the fun stuff is, they have an full indoor basketball court where they also play badminton and have sit and be fit aerobics for older folks. The locker rooms are big and spacious with both tall and short lockers. They have 2 women and 2 men's locker rooms. A steam room and sauna as well as up to six showers and toilets. I've never been in the men's room of course but i imagine its just like the women's room just blue. But they have a sofa and love seat as well as cable TV and a tanning bed. Pretty awesome!
The workout floor has a lot and i mean a lot of machines, sit down bikes, stationary bikes, 2 spinners plus an actual spinning class. They have rooms for yoga and pilates as well as tennis and squash courts. i love to play ping pong their too. There are resistant weights and free weights to workout with, treadmills, elliptical, stair climber, punching bag, and a track surrounding all the workout equipment. There are also 10 Tv's and the treadmills broadcast cable on the treadmills too. They have classes everyday for some different activity. There's also an indoor pool and jacuzzi/whirlpool. The outdoor pool goes as deep as 11 feet with 2 lanes for exercising swimming.
With all the amenities this gym has to offer the price is comparable to the possibilities. It's about $40 a person unless you have a college ID or you join as a family package. I've been a member since 2011 and i have to say its one of the better gyms for all ages. But they are mostly old folks there. But that is a plus if your self conscience about the really buff and shapely folks.
