This place is near my job... so i decided to give it a try with some co-workers..
Always passing by to go around the area.. i did not imagine this would be a Vietnamese restaurant.. Only because the setting inside and outside reminds me of one of those retro diner spots where someone comes out with roller blades or something.. ?
anyways, i was digging it.. walking in.. it was very quiet.. now it started to feel like one of the mid-west saloons.. to my left there was a bar and to my right is where a few people were sitting and eating..
we were seated by our host.. who then became our waiter.. and started us off with something to drink..
i got the combination special.. i also liked how there's an option for the size- regular or large.. so if you're really hungry.. go for the large or order two regulars i guess.. noodle broth ratio was really good.. the taste is as simple as pho can be.. and the meat was nice and tender.. vegetables and mint was fresh!
waiter seemed to be just about business.. because he was straight to the point.. and didn't really engage in a conversation.. could be a good or bad thing.. i didn't mind it..
everything went well until i found out that they don't accept a credit/debit card if the order was $10 or less... which was weird.. ill take the extra charge.. but to completely deny my card?.. not a fan of that.. so i ended up paying for one my co-worker's meal because he too did not have any cash.. with that said.. this place is a good cheap spot for pho..
enjoy!
