  • I would give this a -1 (negative one) star, if I had the option! Last time I was here (again!) was on 3/17/2017 and sad to say, nothing has changed in customer service! Long and SLOW lines, and the cashiers seem to spend a lot of time chatting with his/her customers, even though they can well see the many, many people patiently waiting in line to check out. Yes, it's good to be friendly and chat with your customers, but there is a time limit to the conversation so that the cashier can service the next customer. I find this behavior unprofessional, rude, and thoughtless - to make the other patrons wait such a long time just to purchase a few items. For this visit, what took the cake was I ordered salmon from the butcher and asked for 1/3 of the fillet. He cut the salmon and gave me 2/3 of the fillet. I told him that the cut was rather large for being 1/3 of the fillet, and he told me that it was a very large fillet and that he DID cut off 1/3 of it. Hello??? If you cut off 1/3 of the fillet and give me the balance, that means you have given me 2/3 of the fillet! OMG...could not believe he did not know his fractions! Long story short, I got the 1/3 cut of the fillet. Then to make matters worse, he left the cut fillet on the scale and before wrapping it up and giving to me, went off to help another patron. He was gone for a few minutes, making me wait for my cut salmon in the open air and unable to leave with my salmon, since it was not weighed, priced, nor wrapped. How rude was that! I was there first, and yet the 2nd customer who came was serviced in the middle of my transaction with the butcher! Unbelievably bad customer service! Extremely rude and unprofessional!!! This never, EVER happens when I go to Smith's. Smith's butchers obviously know their fractions and I have never had a problem with their butchers or their cashiers. It really seems like the quality of Smith's personnel far excels the ones at Albertson's - at least THIS particular Albertson's. Needless to say, I go to this store only when absolutely necessary. But after this last experience, this will be the final time. I will now go out of my way to get to Smith's, where friendly and professional service is present just about every time I'm there. I don't have to leave Smith's disgusted and irritated, like I feel when I leave this Albertson's property. This Albertson's location is a joke!
