Service Day: 6.21.18 I like trying out salons around my new neighborhood. I wandered into Epic Salon n asked about pricing n appointments. I excited that there's was an opening for to do my hair... prices were reasonable with a level 1 stylist. I think her name was Dionne or similar. At greeting, she was very pleasant n professional. She asked several questions in order to get to know me... mostly personal. She offered to remove the hair dye around my forehead n ears, which was nice. She left me sit for 40mins for dye processing... offered me water but she didn't tell where to go get magazines, where the bathroom was at or that there's a sofa fountain w tiny snacks for customers. I have a lot of hair so at wash/rinse, I asked for dry hair shampoo n she offered to lather it twice. ahhh, the hair scalps massage was on point! I got splashed w water in the faces a couple of times... no biggie. I was surprised by the small seemingly low voltage hair dryer - seems she was struggling to dry my long thick hair. She kept digging her nails into my neck n scalp... she fumbled the big brush to try n straitened n dry my hair... she soon stopped using it n just did without it. It was the most awkward feeling for me sitting there watching her... she finally finished it n asked, "Do u still wanna get ur hair curled" n I replied, "why would I change my mind". I worried she didn't have a curling wand but I trusted her skills w what tools she had. I was very impressed w her curling skills all said in done my visit was under $100 w tip therefore it was worth it. However for a full service salon treatments it was a C grade.
