So I was looking for a new hair stylist and have read rave reviews about this place. It definitely was located in a cool building with plenty of young hipsters around. I scheduled my wash and cut and arrived on time. I was seated quickly and the stylist began cutting. No wash. He did spritz my hair with a water bottle but I paid for a full wash. His excuse? It's the same as a wash. Really... no its not. He cut my hair in 20 minutes and while not terrible I needed another cut in 4 weeks. Not a good value. Amateurish. But I gave them another try with a different stylist named Tara. Well I sat down and was pleased to be given a wash. But then the sharp tools of her trade came out and she promptly cut my ear. At first she wondered why my head jerked back. Then she saw the blood and ran to get some tissue to stem the flow. No apology. The cut lasted about 12 minutes and I left still bleeding. The Carnage charge was $43. Two weeks later I needed another haircut. I guess I learned something. Hipsters are cool, but don't let them near sharp objects. They don't mind hurting you and then charging for the priveledge.
