| - What up, Co-Brah?
It was a friends birthday so we got free cover and line by-pass with no fuss. Well, almost no fuss. The boys had to go home and change so beware! Men: wear a collared shirt and no sneakers. I'll quote the bouncer, "White laces? You're killing me". Anywho, no trouble for the ladies.
You go down to the basement and first things first, check your coat. I don't know whose idea it was to have ONE person working Saturday night to accommodate the coat-y needs of an entire club in the dead of winter but it was not a good choice. The waits were long to get them in and out. But after that and a quick stop to the unisex washroom, we were on the way to the main event.
The room is a great open space but the lower ceilings make it seem more intimate. A good sized dance floor that's sunken in (watch your step!) that is surrounded by various booths and bars. The show-stopper was the LED-light-filled rooftop that moved along with each song. It sometimes left the crowd in complete darkness or everything would come on, very fun! The patio/alley was also a pretty great spot to come up, cool off and talk.
As far as the crowd was, everyone was really nice! It was someone else's birthday and they had no trouble inviting a bunch of us to wave around sparklers and have some Grey Goose with them, NBD. The boys on the dance floor were only mildly creepy. Everyone just seemed to be there for the right reasons.
I also really liked the music, very good for dancing to. Yes, I think that definitely makes or breaks a night with Danielle F. I will definitely be back!
