| - This used to be my most favorite hotel ever. They charge you $29 a day for a resort fee and now they charge for parking. They used to have free self serve parking, now it $14 per day. They also have valet for $30 a day. Upon check out, the tv wouldn't work to let us check out. And, we were in a hurry. I wasn't too worried about the bill. Because, we only had 3 drinks our entire stay. A week later they charged me an additional $350.00 on my debit card. I called immediately to request a copy of our bill. It took 7 phone calls to finally get a copy of the bill. The bill had several mistakes on it. First, they charged the self service parking 2 times. Even though I paid at the booth. It was never explained to me that I didn't have to pay at the gate. Next, they charged me for valet. How can they charge me the same day for valet and self? The next thing was some drinks. We had ordered some, but after 20 minutes, we just went up to the bar to get our own. I saw the waitress just walking around. She was not busy at all. While I was in the lazy river.l, one of the bar tenders kicked a drink and it hit me in the face. She said she gave me a free drink for that, but I didn't see it. The bartenders seemed very unhappy and not friendly.
I called back and spoke to Tonya a supervisor to let her know about the fees. This was on a Friday. She told me she would refund me the incorrect charges and was going to refund all our bar drinks for the inconvenience. 5 days later. I still did have my refund. So, I called her again. I was told she was off today. I called the next day and was told she is on vacation for 10 days. I was then connected to the accounting team, who stated they were still working on it. I asked why is this taking so long? They said that it's my bank and it takes 7 business days to get a refund. I don't understand why it would take so long? When I return something even at a Walgreens I usually have it the next day. Anyhow, I was told they would send me a new copy of the bill. Again, I called in three more times, since I didn't even know what my refund was going to be. Once i finally got the new bill. It was for a $76 refund. I called back again and spoke with Amy. And told her I was supposed the get a refund on all our pool drinks. Amy was under the assumption that I was disputing the pool drinks and they were working on getting the three recipes that I had signed for. I told her that I was not disputing all of the drinks. Amy, then said ok I will ask my manger. Amy called me back and said yes they will refund me. So, the next Friday later at 8 pm I finally got my $76.00 and I am still waiting for a final receipt and remaining refund. I am not going to hold my breathe. I gave it 2 stars because I do love the lazy river and the hotel is very clean and the towels are lush and the bed is super comfortable. Westin please get your accounting department together. We prob will never stay here again after all this..
