  • This review is long over due! Since it was the holiday season and we were heading back to my hometown, I decided to get my hair done professionally for the first time in my life. So of course, I perused through Yelp for the best hair salons/hairdressers. I'm not the type to dye my hair often and I hate exposing my hair to toxic chemicals, so it's definitely important to me what products are being used. I was looking for a balayage ombré effect since I'm weary about dyes and might not want to commit to a different color. I wanted to try a reddish plum color with dark roots. So I came across these awesome reviews for this Salon and decided to ask for a quote. After calling around and getting different quotes, it turns out that this salon was one of the most affordable. The pictures of their work were definitely a deciding factor as well. I was able to schedule an appointment with Lisa in time before leaving town with no problem. When I arrived to my appointment, I was greeted warmly and automatically felt at ease. I explained to Lisa what haircut, style, and color I wanted as well as that it was my first time going to a professional. She then explained the quality of their products to me and said that most of what they use is natural based and cruelty-free, so that's a big deal for me. She also took the time to explain the whole process to me, and how to maintain and style the look. Long story short, the outcome was amazing...I looked like a new woman! I was thrilled and felt really good about the entire experience, especially because I was surprised about how healthy my hair looked. I felt so good about it that I went back again just yesterday (about 3 months later) to get some toner put in and my bangs trimmed! Again, she surprised me with the beautiful color...this time it was a more natural toned down version of what I had. I told her of my concern with the red fading and the orangey color left behind, so she suggested a certain combination of colors that would not have that effect and the color would also last longer. Lisa is most definitely a pro-artist who takes time to explain everything from the process to the maintenance and even gives amazing styling tips! My friends and family always compliment her work. I found my Vegas hairdresser...and aside from that, she is really cool, down-to-earth and makes you feel ease being in her chair! Oh, and another thing the Kevin Murphy products they sell are a must try and investment in maintaining your hair. I didn't purchase them the first time, which I regret but Lisa recommended for me to try sampling the products first before committing to one.
