After a local brewery tour during our staycation, we ended our excursion at Hop Farm. I have enjoyed many a beer produced by Hop Farm and was excited to visit the brick and mortar. Upon entering, there was only one table occupied and one other patron at the bar. The bartender greeted us and gave us menus, but she strictly told us the kitchen closes in 30 minutes. It was not one of those "here are some menus let me know if you have any questions, and by the way the kitchen closes in 30 minutes." No, I believe she stated it as to deter us from ordering food. It did not work. First, I settled on my go to Hop Farm IPA. They make an excellent IPA it makes me hoppy, see what I did there... After reviewing the menu a little longer and being warned again that the kitchen is closing by our annoyed bartender, we decided to split a burger. We chose the Cajun burger and opted for a greens side. She swiftly took our order and headed to the back to relate it to the kitchen.
We sat and enjoyed our beers. The space is small. I could only imagine how it would be on a weekend night. I continued to browse the menu while we waited. They offer brunch on Sundays. I am always up to trying new places for Brunch especially paired with a nice cold brew.
Although our server harped on the kitchen closing soon, she served our burger within 10 minutes of ordering it. Therefore, the kitchen was still open for 20 more minutes. At first I was a tad apprehensive with the quick turnaround but the burger was delicious so was the side salad. They use locally sourced grass fed beef and it makes a big difference in the quality and taste.
We look forward to a more relaxing less rushed return visit.
