| - I was a patient of Dr. Reich's for under a year and finally had enough and unenrolled. My complaints actually have little to do with Dr. Reich - she seemed competent enough and aside from being constantly behind schedule (which I consider pretty standard fare for most family doctors, in my experience), I had no real problems with her.
The office is horribly run though and very unprofessional. Whenever calling to make an appointment expect to hear "Please hold" immediately when they pick up, followed by 10-15 minutes of being on hold. I'd be more understanding of this if the staff had any tact or politeness, but they don't. They seem inconvenienced whenever I interact with them.
When visiting the office in winter I was instructed to remove my boots when entering the exam area, lest I leave boot prints. So I got to fight with my lace up boots while being glared at by a secretary. I must say I haven't been told to take off boots like this since primary school - a mat usually suffices.
The medical assistants can't take blood to save their lives. I've never had issues having blood drawn before, but on multiple occasions they couldn't find a vein. The last time this happened I ended up with three staff members looming over me, debating how best to do it. Also ended up with some pretty wicked bruises from their failed attempts.
But I must say, what takes the cake was my experience trying to unenroll. After calling and being placed on hold, I finally made contact with staff only to be told that they refused to unenroll me until I made a claim through my new doctor's office, at which point I'd be charged with a transfer fee. I told them that wouldn't be happening and I'd just contact Service Ontario instead.
Five minutes later, the nice lady at the Service Ontario hotline freed me of this place. Save yourself the trouble and find a place with some professionalism.
