Best vegetarian Chinese in Toronto, maybe on the planet. And the worst-kept secret. After an Asian friend tipped me off about this place, I asked around and found that almost e every Asian in Toronto knows about it. It is run by monks. it is a wonderfully furnished restaurant with great staff and great service. They use only the simplest ingredients. Their challenge is to prepare tasty dishes from healthy ingredients and they met the challenge. Their two types of congee are the best in Toronto and addictive. The fried Lotus cake is better than a hambuger. The Singapiore Turnip is to die for. Ditto the spring rolls. Ditto the whole menu. Best value is lunch from the Dim Sum menu which actually has a lot more dishes than just Dim Sum. Super value if you arrive before 12, they discount most of the Dim Sum, which is already a bargain. Happy happy joy joy.
