  • Two experiences with Dolphinaris. The first was the land experience. $59/person. We were fortunate that it was just us during our session so we both had some good memories created with a dolphin. Wife loved it. Trainers were fun and professional, with a sincere love for the animals. We were there on opening day. The gripe is photo setup which is designed as the only way to capture your time with the Dolphins. You are not allowed to use your own camera. The purchased photo's are expensive and the self-serve software isn't the easiest thing to use. But it is a tourist place - goes with the experience. I get it. My second experience (more recent) was in purchasing a gift certificate for another family. The first issue was how damn long it took to actually purchase a "gift certificate". It involved "finding" a paper form (took 10 mins) for me to fill which was then manually typed in, and then running upstairs to use a printer. G The entire process took about 30-40mins - not kidding! There was also a "secretive two for one" special - stated at the desk when I overheard the sales agent tell another guest - we don't want everyone to know about it!". Avail if you purchased over the phone or through the internet on certain days. If you one of the lucking ones you could save hundreds, if your not but you know about it (my case) and were denied the option to purchase the 2 for 1 over-the-counter it really bites and left a bad taste as a "not a chosen one" customer. The sales agent, understanding my stated disappointment offered me a $50 lyft card (good if you are new to lyft) which was nice but did not make up for the lame way to run discounting in a business. The business is still new and working through process. Would recommend improvements in how they handle discounting (make it available to everyone and in all ways tickets can be purchased). Improve the front desk data entry process - maybe let customers do the data entry on a computer (yikes its a modern age!) rather then fill out paper (with credit card info) only to have the person type it all in trying to make out your handwriting. My gosh - so inefficient and potentially unsecure (PCI compliant?). For a business that is charging $59-250+ per person - it should be able to get the customer experience right. That said - the people there are great, helpful and professional. The Dolphins are fun. The business has some more organizing to do to be a smooth running experience.
