| - Worth the five stars, for sure. When I plan a romantic outing with my wife, I like to combine lots of little efforts and put thought and research into putting together the date. But Float has already thought of everything. It felt great to be pampered with local luxuries, like Cartel coffee served by a barista via chemex to warm us up before sunrise. Our host Matt told us pleasant stories while we drove out to the launch and we learned things while preparing the balloon for our flight. After the most peaceful hour or so aloft in the sky above Carefree, we landed on the ground with the lightest thump. It never felt dangerous, our pilot Mike made me feel confident. Then the crew brought out the table, set with silver and a seasonal floral centerpiece. We toasted with a honeyed bourbon-champagne cocktail made with fresh pressed apple cider, way better than regular bubbly. The brunch was amazing. Float prepared a skillet of delicious roasted sweet potatoes and a southwestern take on Benedict, called Eggs Bidahochi with poached eggs over seared polenta cakes and a shishito pepper jelly. It was so satisfying and one of the best parts of my experience. Note - this was our second reservation with the company. Our first try in the spring was unfortunately canceled due to high winds, something that occasionally puts a cramp on the plans, but safety comes first. We were informed and offered other dates to reschedule. We were so happy to finally get up in the sky the second time. Considering the thought and care they've put into the whole package, I have no doubt we would do it again.
