Do not buy a used car here. I bought a used Chevy Cobalt which they claimed was never involved in a previous car wreck. It looked OK and drove OK, but about 3 weeks later when I had the car up on a lift for an oil change, I noticed significant front end damage. A steel cross member had been bent all the way back into the air conditioning condenser coil. This damage could not have occurred without serious damage to the front bumper, but mysteriously, the front bumper was in near perfect condition! The condenser coil was also bent, but not to the point of leaking refrigerant. Closer inspection by my auto insurance adjuster revealed rusting around the edges of the steel frame indicating that the damage had been there a long time. When my wife went back to Carmax, she was at first ignored, then passed from one associate to the other. No manager or associate was even willing to even look at the car. They simply blew her off and said it was impossible that the car could be sold in that condition. They did not even offer to confirm the previous car history - but after this experience I wouldn't have believed them anyway. (Oh by the way, when I changed the oil filter, I noticed they didn't bother to install the filter o-ring.) DO NOT BUY A CAR AT THIS CARMAX!!
