I went in for a first-time visit transferring from another dermatologist out-of-state. I saw Dr. Vanessa who was very thorough in answering my questions. I've been on two prescriptions for 11 years and she told me some information about it that I had never known. I really appreciate that!!! I went in for a rx refill so it was a quick first visit. I was in and out in an hour. The front desk staff was very nice and quick at processing my paperwork. You do have to make sure you check your own ins benefits. They don't make an effort to do so. At the end of my appointment I had to ask if I have a co-pay and I did so I paid it right there. The receptionist was not going to chase me down to make a payment. The front desk staff should always collect co-pays before the patient goes back . No big problem on my part because it really is the patient's responsibility to make sure you're covered and in network before even go see a doctor. I don't know why patients think it's the Dr. offices responsibility....it's your own insurance people! When doctors offices do the billing for you it is a courtesy and not a right!!!
