Whoa whoa whoa Palms.. you way exceeded my expectations! I guess I've always had this notion that the Palms is an older hotel/casino and the fact that it is off the strip has led me to avoid it.
We only stayed one night and it was a Wednesday night. When we arrived we were upgraded to a suite. We didn't even ask, so I'm guessing they were under-booked for the night. We were pretty amazed when we got to the suite. There was a living room area, king bed, double sink bathroom with a hot tub, and those window shades that are remote controlled-- basically way more space and amenities than we could use in our less than 12 hours there.
Even though it is off the strip, there is a food court with Earl's, coffee bean, Mcdonald's, Panda Express, Famiglia's... so you aren't too far away from food options.
I can't speak to whether the regular rooms are as good. I also wish I had time to use the pool here. Now I know Palms is definitely an option for me for future Vegas visits.
