  • Flight delayed due to mechanical problems. (My mother and I missed our connecting flight by 45 minutes). Not a great way to start a relationship with US Airways. Upon entering the plane, I hoped service would make up for lack of punctuality. As soon as I entered the plane, flight attendants were extremely cold, curt, and unfriendly. Each were glaring at passengers as they shoved themselves inside, and handled everyone's carry-ons VERY roughly, as if they were TRYING to break something (as if it was a game). On top of this, they were all incredibly rude. A teenage girl in front of me was listening to music before the plane started. She was simply clicking "next" on her iTunes over and over. A flight attendant came up to her and said, "you aren't allowed to text on the plane!!!!!!!" Very loudly. The girl looked up and said "oh, I'm not texting". The flight attendant responded, "well don't text in the plane!!" And walked away. For the next 30 minutes (the plane had still not left) the flight attendant spent all her time walking up and down the same 5 aisles all in order to watch the teenage girl's screen to see if she was texting. She would BEND OVER from behind her and continuously invade her privacy when the plane wasn't even STARTED. I'm not sure what the rules are, but if a phone absolutely must not be used then she should have kindly asked her to turn it off and explain why they have the rules they do. Then let her know when it is okay to turn it on. She should not be invading peoples privacy all for the sake of asserting her dominance. On top of that, making customers feel insecure and uncomfortable is NOT okay. Especially when not doing something wrong. The poor girl looked scared to be traveling alone without her parents after that. Parents, do NOT place your kids on US Airways alone. They will not be helpful and or patient. Upon arrival, we asked a flight attendant what we should do if we missed our connecting flight. All flight attendants were all too busy yelling and herding all the passengers like sheep as if it was our fault the plane schedule was behind! By the time we reached the ticket counter to get our new flights, the lady simply handed us a ticket and told us to move along so others could get theres. We didn't even have a chance to look at our tickets let alone confirm our information was correct. By the time we had a chance to look, we finally saw we had a 6 HOUR STANDBY. & No apologies given on behalf of the company. Company and personnel all just awful. Don't waste your money. I would give zero stars if I could.
