  • Cool Latin club to dance the night away. Or catch a legit drag show. Or just chat with your friends. Well...if you can hear anything. Just centrally located enough to remain accessible to all, Karamba is what intersectionality looks like in practice. It's not your run-of-the-mill gay bar, it's a gay bar for my Latinx homies to feel safer than they might surrounded by establishments filled with boisterous guys sporting country T-shirts and cowboy hats (You know the one). Since I'm out of the target audience, that I enjoyed my time here is totally fortunate. Of course, it helps that staff is totally groovy, and drinks are so inexpensive for a club that paying a cover feels like an act of fairness rather than a hindrance. On weekends from 2-4 am, it's an 18+ club as well. I haven't stayed late enough to see what becomes of Karamba that late (nor am I compelled to), but I'm sure somebody somewhere is enjoying it tons. Overall, it's a cool spot to hang out, and it's a bummer there aren't more establishments like this.
