| - Right, it's a hostel. You get bed sheets, access to the kitchen, laundry, cheap drinks and an ever-rotating cast of interesting international characters. It was my first time in Toronto (third time in Canada) and I didn't know anyone in town, but by the time I had to leave I'd made some interesting new friends. Staff were friendly and helpful, location is close enough to everything to walk. They also let me do some work to stay a free night (a few hours of sweeping), which, call me crazy, but I actually enjoyed. Saved me money in a foreign country!
If you're on vacation and aren't accustomed to cutting corners, stay at a hotel. Low budget? Hardly any budget? Stay here, make some friends and sleep on their couch next time!
