| - Still a fan of Wicked Spoon, although this time we had a much more rushed experience. My group of friends and I (a totally of 9 people) got in pretty late- closer to 8:30PM. I had no idea that they closed at 9PM, which seems really really early for Vegas. Heck, it's even really early for the Bay Area (where I live)! Thankfully, they stop putting out new food around 9 and don't remove plates until 9:15 so we still had a bit of time. After a small delay as they put together tables to accomodate us, we got to the food.
Disclaimer: so, due to the early closing time, we only had approximately 45 min for all the food so I went and kind of really rushed. I didn't have time for pictures and I didn't have time to fully appreciate everything.
Even at 8:30, they've slowed down production of food by quite a bit. Some of the pastas and other items that I picked weren't necessarily cold, but you could tell it wasn't fresh. As last time, my favorite items came from the salad bar, where they had a delicious ceviche and a DELICIOUS KALE SALAD. It feels weird to say that I spent around $50+ at a buffet and ate a lot of salad but that's what happened. The kale salad was amazing- citrusy, gingery... delicious! I actually googled "wicked spoon kale salad recipe" and there's a recipe online that I'll probably attempt to make.
Didn't really have time for desserts but the macarons were good. Definitely will need to come earlier next time to fully appreciate this buffet again.
