What is this place doing here?!? Found on the corner of a slum strip of stores including a circle K and a dollar store so pointless that it must be some kind of front, the teeny nugget of gold known as Pizza a Metro (named for their meter long pizza) has been feeding my family now for several years. They have several pasta dishes (my favorite is the Spaghetti Bolognese) that are flawless. The pizzas are made in a brick oven. The bread is so very light and lovely; the sauce, bright and tangy. My favorite pizza is the Saporita which has a homemade sausage and broccoli. This place even offers calamari and fabulous salads. The owner Mauro is an immigrant from Tuscany. I am thankful that he brought us this lovely restaurant. The only thing I would change - no fountain drinks.
