  • I really wanted to love this place. i wanted to be converted into a donut fanatic to make up for the fact that I never really liked donuts growing up. I, like many others, was delighted by the concept, dazzled by the hype, and damn it, I needed to get my paws on some of these donuts! Unfortunately, I was also seriously underwhelmed by the donuts here. Had a bite or two of several varieties ranging from Cookies and Cream, Banana Cream Pie, Cinnamon Sugar, Chocolate Pistachio, and Lemon Meringue. None of them were really good enough to make me want to finish a whole donut, although if I had to choose a favourite it would have to be the Banana Cream Pie - mostly because all the filling and stuff on top helped to mask the fact that the donut itself didn't have that much flavour. The dough is a yeast dough, definitely on the lighter end as far as donut doughs go. Avoid disappointment; "do-nut" make a special trip out here with high expectations, and be content stuffing your hole with donuts elsewhere.
