| - This review is based off of the most recent sale.
We had a credit from our previous purchase that i wanted to use, and applying that to our new purchase was easy and no problem. They even helped me out by searching for the original invoice which had the credit amount. I may not have known where the receipt was, but I did provide them a very lengthy, highly detailed hand written, page long description of the item purchased, the item numbers and pages from each catalog, along with transaction date and amount which would match the invoice. I just could not provide the invoice, but I was told I provided plenty of information to get it sorted out. Again, no problem. Invoice found and the credit applied. With all squared away, I PAID THE REMAINING BALANCE WITH A CARD. I left that place with peace of mind.
The 4 dining room chairs were purchased on a Friday, and an OFFERED delivery date of the following Thursday at noon (I got to pick the time)- didn't happen... On the morning of the delivery "Oh, I apologize, your chairs never came in... Could we schedule it for Tuesday? It all depends on when will your chairs come in but we also do not do deliveries on Sunday and Mondays..."
Tuesday morning comes, the 2nd OFFERED delivery date, "oh, 2 of the 4 chairs did not arrive... Our sales guys is going crazy looking for it... We could drop the 2 chairs that we do have, but trying to figure out a time in our day of 27 other delivery is the difficult part. Let us know what you want do, but noon again will not be an option. Also, on Thursday when the other 2 chairs arrive, which I overnighted this morning as soon as I found out were missing, could all be delivered together, you tell me the time, and Ill delivery it myself says the salesmen... But please, let us know what you want to do..."
I waited patiently for 2 more days... From the credit card transaction date, it is now 12 days later and 2 failed delivery promises.
Today, Thursday morning, the 3rd OFFERED delivery date, and again at noon, which I requested... "oh, I wanted to let you know it will be late, because the overnighted chairs will not arrive to the store until after 2 or 3pm today..." FINALLY at 7:20pm the chairs arrive to the house which was delivered by one of the store's Salesmen, and not the delivery guys. He mentions, the MAIN SALESMAN NAME, would not allow them to come this late... Oh an by the way, you owe me the remaining balance in cash of X amount."
After i had one of those movie moments in my head... Becoming an uncontrollable untamable unstopable green giant, falling to my knees in the rain, screaming "what do you want from?", a frying pan jetting through the air with its target locked, screaming at the top of my lungs in the middle of central park as the all the pigeons fly off in fear, dressed in a yellow onsie about to draw my sword and mouthing words that do not sync up with the audio, or simply a perfectly torn front kick in slow motion "THIS IS SPARTA!"
We sorted it all out calmly.
Patience is definitely a virtue when working with this store if you have deadlines. Funny part was I didn't have one, but I made sure to be home during their suggested delivery dates that THEY SAID THEY WOULD HONOR. Oh, plus all the while my Grandma is in the Rehab/hospital, and it was birthday. I rearranged my life to just be let down time & time again from an very unprofessional and unorganized business.
