  • My entire family joined back in May, as we were first introduced to Thomas and Laurie McCrummen by our son, who joined the week before as he was very impressed. My spouse and I met Thomas and Laurie on a Friday and Thomas spent an ample amount of time talking to us about fitness, the gym environment and the members. It was clear to me Thomas and Laurie were very knowledgeable fitness coaches and were extremely compassionate about fitness and their members own experiences and results. Just by looking at the amazing physical shape Thomas and Laurie maintain, anyone could easily see they back up what they preach. I was excited to start this fitness journey first thing Monday morning. For most of my life I have dabbled with fitness and joined gyms to try and maintain a healthy life style, but I always struggled with motivation to go and knowledge of how to exercise correctly and I eventually managed to drop off going completely like most gym rats do. This is not the case since I joined CrossFit Double Down! Thomas and Laurie have been very genuine, supportive, (patient) and motivational to me and my entire family. I am 48 years old and I have never been in better shape in my life and I am only 3 months in. Trust me I struggle still and recognize I have a long way to go before I consider myself a fitness animal, but thanks to Thomas' and Laurie's continued support, I do not doubt I will achieve goals I never dreamt of. The members are fantastic and supportive as well. I have met some awesome individuals who share the same thought process as I do and just want to get in shape and live a longer healthier life style. It is exhilarating when you are struggling to push through a particular exercise, only to be pushed and cheered on by other members you haven't even met yet. What gym offers that kind of experience? I am so addicted to fitness and the CrossFit Double Down environment; I now go 5 days a week and recently moved from Basics into WOD with the strict professional skills program provided by Thomas. If you are thinking of getting involved with crossfit, I highly recommend checking out CrossFit Double Down. Thomas and Laurie are fantastic down to earth people and knowledgeable fitness trainers who spend the time to show you how to exercise correctly and save you from injury and get results.
