I used to hate Shaw. There I've said it, but I think for emphasis I should say, "I used to HATE Shaw." I would have to say that "HATE" in some ways doesn't fully encompass the raging depths of an anger that was so complete that it nearly made me crazy. Oh, Shaw you have no idea. When you call for service and hear, "Your call will be answered in 7 hours..." and realize they're not joking.
Anyway that's all behind us now. I can almost mark the date a couple of years ago when I had an issue, and girded my loins (sorry for the unpleasant mental image there) for the inevitable war of mud and attrition that I was about to launch - like the Somme - except fought over something more viscerally important - my picture quality for the upcoming NFL season. Anyway, something incredible happened. Someone answered the phone. They booked a service call in a reasonable amount of time and my issue was miraculously resolved less than a week later.
Since then it's been nothing but rainbows, bunnies and unicorns. If you're reading this Shaw, good job in listening to your customers and fixing your service. I was on the verge of leaving you. You're not cheap, but you're making it easier. I also feel like you care now.
