I'm not familiar with Taiwanese desserts, but I had a nice experience here. The joint is right on the corner of Dundas and Spadina at the entrance to this awful Chinatown mall. It's a sit down place which is apparently a big part of the culture. We were seated promptly by this sweet server, and menus came just as fast. Everything is itemized and numbered and ordered on a card like a dim sum joint. For the uninitiated, the choices might look a little alien as compared to North American desserts. A lot of jelly-like sweets, with stuff called sago and black pearl delight sitting in coconut milk. Not a lot of crunch or chocolate which I am accustomed to. But the presentation is pretty and once you get used to it, the flavors are subtle and actually really good. Really fast and good service especially for Chinatown. Not something I'd do frequently but nice for a change!
