  • We were going to see a movie at the Marcus Palace Cinema. Monk's Bar and Grill is very close so we decided to try it out. It's large, crowded, there's an extensive menu, lots of rooms, TVs, games, and a large bar. It reminds me of a TGI Fridays. Our server was friendly and ... busy. She took our order, checked on us, was always courteous but she definitely seemed a little overwhelmed. The food was fine: chips, wraps, sandwiches, friend cheese. Typical pub fare. A good selection of beers and cocktails. This is a good place to drink with friends and a convenient place to have dinner before or after a movie.
