This is a beautiful hotel! We arrived early around 8:00 am, left our bags with the valet attendant as we got out of our Uber, prechecked in and was told they would text us when our room was ready. We were given the keys so we had them available and wouldn't need to return to the front desk once we got the text. We were given a claim ticket for our luggage and were told to call the number on the ticket once we made it to our room. The check in time isn't until 3:00 pm so we headed to get breakfast and planned to do a little site seeing, however, as soon as we finished eating breakfast the text came that out room was ready. We were in our room and had our bags all by 9:15am which was only about an hour after we arrived. Fantastic! This gave us a chance to take a quick nap. This was my second time in Vegas. My first stay was at the MGM. The Venetian is a much prettier hotel. The room was beautiful and a nice size. At first we only saw the view of the back of other buildings until we looked out and saw the beautiful mountains in the distance. My only complaint was the fact that there was not a air vent over the bedroom area. On my first night I was uncomfortable because I was hot. Once I adjusted the air as low as it could go and turned it ON instead of AUTO it was nice and cool over the bed area. I'm not sure if it was just this suite or it all are the same but that would be my only complaint that there is no air vent in the bedroom area. The hotel appears to located in a nice area on the strip. We were able to do the nighttime Gondola ride with another nice couple and had a good time. The wax museum is also located right next to the hotel which made for easy access. There are plenty restaurants, a food court, and stores for shopping. We ended up walking to the Palazzo side and it is beautiful as well. I visited the Dorsey bar in the daytime and it has a nice atmosphere. I didn't enjoy the bar at the Venetian as much as I enjoyed the lounge bar at the MGM. We didn't get to enjoy the pool but did get to view one of them and is was an intimate setting. I believe this one was on the 10th floor. I would definitely stay here again. I think I will try the Palazzo next time.
