I came here earlier today when it was the last day for the 20% off sale. The selection is hit or miss but during this visit I mostly saw stuff I liked and purchased but one thing that bothered me was loss prevention - I was clearly being profiled.
Most of the shoppers there at the time were older and I was probably the youngest-looking one there (I'm in my late 20's but people say I look like I'm fresh out of high school) and the loss prevention guy was following me everywhere I went and kept watching me, I found it odd and there were lots of people in there. I understand he's doing his job but why of all people does he have to automatically label me as THE SHOPLIFTER of the day?? The human psyche plays tricks on us my friend, these cognitive shortcuts aren't always reliable.
*shaking my head*
Also, when he went back to the entrance area, he was STILL watching me. I found it odd and kept thinking, "this nigga needs to get off my balls". I wasn't even acting suspicious, from the second I walked into the store, he didn't greet me, he glared at me and kept his eyes on me when I was in there most of the time.
Or he probably was sexually attracted to me and wants to fuck me in the ass. Who knows?
ANYONE is capable of shoplifting and I sent a complaint to corporate about this guy (I got his name) in this location. It's been drilled into the Ross employees' heads during orientation to never profile and that everyone is capable of stealing - my friend who is a current Ross employee told me that.
*crosses arms and looks away*
