  • Took my mom here to check out prices and selection. Mom is originally from Okinawa and moved to Scottsdale from Seattle a couple of years ago. She's been finding it difficult to find items locally to make her Japanese dishes. She really liked The House of Rice and was able to find some of the ingredients she needed. Personally, I liked the feel of the store as it reminded me of the Mom & Pop shops we used to frequent when we lived in Japan. Nice variety of gifts, yukatas and happy coats, kitchen supplies, etc. We'll be back!
