  • I've been working my way through the Charlotte breweries slowly, as I have opportunities to visit town. I immediately liked the feel of the Unknown Brewing Co. The space was big enough to hold a crowd, but split into smaller spaces so you never feel like you are in a huge room packed with people. Their session was light and perfect for a hot summer afternoon, and the tea beer was balanced. My issue was not with the beer, but with the general upkeep of the place. The bathrooms were dirty and not kept up. It was obvious that they don't get a regular good scrub. We tried out 3 or 4 tables, none of which were level, so our beers kept spilling. We sat in the room with video games, and watched as several people lose quarters in broken games. A good scrubbing of the public space would make me feel more confident about the rest of the business.
