| - There are places here that i truly love. Vera's bakery for the great Hungarian bread (real flour, not stripped flour and no bromate) and the best Russian teacakes in Cleveland. Urban herbs is another great place. Unlike bottled herbs and spices, their herbs and spices are very fresh. Their New Mexico chile powder is my go to spice. Also their dried fruits are exceptional, you will find no better apricots or calimyrna figs than theirs. And, finally, the Medi deli has the best cheeses, olives, and charcuterie in town. Their samples are very generous. And, Medi deli has the best prices in town. One of my favorite cheeses is their tangy Spanish goat cheese. There is more, but that is enough. Oh, almost forgot, there are some good produce people there. I have had very good luck with the Boutros brothers stand. And, hidden away in the produce section in a less trafficked area is Walter from Jorgensen's apiary. He may not be there Saturdays before 2, he does a farmers market early. His creamed honey (seasonal) is great. Jams and jellies made by his wife are also wonderful.
