| - I was in Montreal with a group of friends for a bachelor party; we had already visited a no contact adult establishment for dinner and drinks earlier in the evening and were looking to continue our night. This place was located conveniently around the corner on Saint Catherine Street and one of our friends had been here in the past.
After going up a flight of stairs, you are immediately charged a $5 cover for entry. Don't let it get you down; it's well worth it. You then pass by a bouncer/maitre'd who requests a tip, which you absolutely must pay to enter. This is a great way to get rid of your looneys/tooneys (and can give as low as $1 dollar; you might have to drop another coin if you're not in a big group).
Then, you'll get seated and will be forced to buy a drink. If you're in a group, you can opt for a bucket of beer. Once you've gone through all of this red tape (which is well worth it, so don't let it discourage you), the fun begins. There's a pretty constant stage show with a great view anywhere in the venue. Women will start approaching you for a dance in a private booth.
We went on a Saturday night, so I don't know if the rates are different if you go on other nights. It was $20 a dance, which lasts for a song. If you have a good dancer, they will ask if you want to continue and receive another dance. Tipping is typically not expected.
If you decide to go for a dance, she will take you by the hand and whisk you away to a room with individual stalls that face mirrors. Since this is a contact club, it means that touching is allowed and encouraged.
Overall, it is a very different experience that a regular dance, since you are a good deal more involved in the process, making it a very personal and intimate experience.
While the customers, decor, and non-dancer employees give this place a rating of closer to a 2, the girls bring it up to a 4. In fact, Chantal is beyond a 5 star review. She is funny, gorgeous, and has a fantastic personality.
If you find yourself in Montreal and you are a bit daring to explore beyond your typical gentleman's club experience, give this place a try. There's really something for everyone. Well, straight guys at least.
