  • The Monogram ownership team of Justin Eyford, Jeremy Ho and reigning Canadian barista champ Ben Put have opened their glam new flagship store as their second dedicated brick and mortar location in the city- their Altadore cafe is a gem, an absolute gem, but it's much smaller than this new one. They also have and have had pop-ups around town, but this is their crown, for now, and it's magnificent. I'd put Monogram up against any coffeehouse in the world. It's completely forward-thinking with innovations like the honour brew bar but they this is also a fantastic, welcoming traditional coffeehouse too with peerless espresso-based drinks and creative, inexpensive snacks too. Beans are from Edmonton's Transcend and they're great, outstanding, but I can't wait for Monogram to start its own roasting program, which'll add to the alread world-class assortment of roasters we have in Calgary now. Coffee times are so, so good in this city now.
