  • With La Unica nearby, I thought this place didn't stand a chance. I was wrong; El Cafetal stands alone and is more even more delightful than I could have anticipated. The decor is modest, and it can get loud in here with nothing to damper the sound of plates and chatter. The food, though, is excellent. The plantains alone are worth the trip. I mean it; order extra plantains. Prices are reasonable and portions are substantial. So glad we gave this place a try.
