This place is an awesome place for first-timers. I was in a group of 4 where we each got the weekend package deal that included 2 handguns, 1 rifle and 1 shotgun for $106. Prior to shooting, you must sign a waiver and then you have a brief safety class that goes over how to handle the guns safely and how to aim. They also go over the safety rules within the shooting range such as standing behind the red line, always wearing your ear and eye protections at all times.
We went early on a Sunday morning as a staff member said it can get quite busy and you may have to wait to shoot. We arrived around 10:30AM and signed our waiver and started the safety class at 11:30AM, which wasn't bad. The whole thing took approximately 1.5 - 2 hrs. As a first-time shooter, the staff really made this experience good for me as they were great at explaining how to properly handle the guns, very encouraging and patient as I had to take breaks in between every few shots as I was a tad scared. I wanted to shoot the shotgun last, but I guess I took too long and the guy supervising it packed the gun away by the time I had the courage to get to it. I spoke to one of the staff and he took the gun out and let me shoot without any hostility. I greatly appreciated this.
