The Saguaro was a bright pop of fun! I loved the colourful decor, and the lobby area is covered in really interesting, unique art. I instantly felt like I'd stepped into a cool place. The woman at the front desk was very welcoming, and checked me in quickly and efficiently while giving me the speedy run down of where to find the pool etc.
The hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable, steps to the cheesalicious old town in Scottsdale which is packed with shops and restaurants to explore. When you're done with walking, there are two awesome pools to choose from, both of which have the option of lounge chairs or full on beds. Not even kidding! So cool.
My room was a little dark, but faced onto the lovely public grassy area behind the hotel: this was great but did make me reluctant to open my patio doors as there was no fence or barrier to the public. The decor continued in the same fun, vibrant tones, although you could tell it was an older hotel that had been spruced up - there were still older patches showing through in some areas. The bed was comfy and all possible amenities were catered for - even a cute little booklet outlining the local area, as well as some handy tips (like how to pronounce saguaro!!)
It's a cute hotel with a great location - I'd recommend it.
