I had been coming here since I moved to Tempe last July (2016) everything was great I signed up for a the month deal $11.95 for unlimited washes, yes I needed to bring my own towels but overall the wash is good for the price you are paying. My main gripe is with a particular experience that I had today. You see, for the monthly unlimited pass the issue you a scannable sticker that they want you to stick on your windshield, prominent and ugly and would damage the car when you remove it. I said I would like to just keep the sticker in my glovebox and pull it out for use when I needed it. The employee when I signed up said no problem and that he was the same way (I refuse to have stickers on my car, not even oil change stickers) well beyond the first trip I have been there about 50+ times, every time no problem I pull my sticker out and scan it and get my car washed.
Fast forward today, the employee rudely starts tapping my windshield and saying it has to be on the front windshield or he would confiscate my pass. I politely responded why I don't want it on the front despite his hand still assaulting my windshield. He came back with NO if you don't put it on the front I will cancel your pass. My response? Fine I'll go to another mediocre car wash that knows the value of not defacing a car with a hideous pass. The employee stormed off with my pass. Well got home called my credit card company and had them reverse my last fee as these fools just violated their agreement with me to provide a months worth of car washes. Congrats you lost a paying customer.
Note: I know why they want the sticker, it is to prevent abuse of multiple people using the same pass, but this abuse could be prevented by issuing a card with the license plate number of the vehicle that is paying thus avoiding the destruction of the car, and ensuring no one is scamming the system.
