rev:text	I knew nothing about this place until my bf said a guy he works with downtown mentioned it. Sadly, we got there at 4 PM and they closed at 5PM. We went anyway, as we were leaving town the next day. I wish we would have had about two more hours. When you pay, you receive a set of headphones and a volume control. Put them on. As you wander around and look at exhibits, you will hear music samples and see the video on the screen by the exhibit. What I like: this is really a comprehensive museum, and it took a load of planning and work to put it together. Someone had a definite plan. How it works: Pick your continent and enter the room. You will find it broken down into countries. For each country, you will see actual musical instruments used in that country today and in history. You will get to hear several examples of music from that country USING those instruments while watching a video. The memorabilia is right there in front of you, and with all the kids that must go through this place, I am surprised they are so in-reach. What we saw: We went through a guitar room and a piano room. Then we had about 40 minutes left until closing. We went through Europe, and I loved the Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales section. I did NOT love Latvian music, but that's OK. It was educational for me. To finish, we went through the Africa room, and this was by far my favorite part of the museum. I could spend the entire day in there! This is $15, so don't go unless you have a few hours to spend. We will definitely return when we have more time. I will do my research ahead of time to figure out what I must see and hear next time!
