| - Hospitals can be a very different experience from one patient to the next. Unfortunately having to spend hours in the ER while tests are run, is just the way it goes. The guy with an axe in his head gets attention before the kid with the broken arm. ER staff must prioritize and keep moving.
My mother had to be admitted from the emergency room and we found almost every employee, with the exception of a few, to display exemplary compassion and treat not only my mother, but the entire family with dignity. Dementia coupled with stage 4 cancer is a frightening diagnosis, but the staff kept us grounded and feeling like they had us from the start.
From the boss Keith who is not afraid to get his hands dirty, Dr Harmon, Dr Wajid, Tiffany, Guinea, Emilee, Jen, LQ, Sheila, Naquita and the countless others who played a part in my mother's diagnosis and transition to hospice, we thank you for allowing this time in my mother's life to be spent together, with the support of your magnificent team.
You are a special bunch of extraordinary humans.
Thank you from the family of Rose Pry.
