I always get nervous when i take something in to be repaired to a place because you never know what they consider to be repaired. Are they going to do a botched job and ruin it altogether? I took my chance on the village cobbler hoping the reviews on Yelp were on the mark. They were. I brought in a pair of boots and an expensive red leather purse. The boots i had neglected and worn right past the rubber sole and into some of the actual heel. It had to be rebuilt up and I had torn some of the leather away from the seam near my big toe. It had to be patched on the inside. the purse which is really my laptop carrier had broken on one of the straps from the excessive weight I put into it. I love this bag!! So after 2 days everything was done... It was perfect !!! The shoes were fixed. He built up the heel and if you didnt know of the previous damage, you would never had know there was an issue. The patch was great on the side as well. For the purse he reinforced the strap (on the inside) with a piece of leather and made the red part decorative. Again you cannot notice a difference. Excellent , timely job. Cost: wsnt cheap. Heels were $25, seam to patch $25 and 2 strap repair $12 each , tax and total was $83 but I got two things I love fixed. I have no worries about bringing anything in to his store again.
