| - My visit to Vegas always has a high end steak place to try. I hit some good ones and yet to give a 5 star until now. In order to get that you have to cook the perfect steak, have a high quality rib eye and have great service. Perfect on all counts.
My brother taught me that the rib eye, not the filet migon is the best cut. Sure the filet is tender, but a great quality rib eye has more fat, more flavor and is quite tender especially if the quality is top notched. My rib eye hit on all marks. If you want a Lexus, face it, you cannot pay for a price of a Chevy. That goes with steaks too. People's complaints about the expense is not warranted. Then, it must be medium rare, a hot red juicy center. This was the quintessential rib eye. The sides were equally tremendous as well.
Each good casino has a high end steak joint and this one belonged to Planet Hollywood. If you don't look up from the casino floor, you could miss it. And if you think the Strip House is a gentlemen's club (an oxymoron), you may ignore it. Don't. Take the escalator to the second deck and be prepared to be served the perfect rib eye. I hope future repeat trips give me equal performance. If they do, I may not try another place in town.
Chris was our server and he was friendly, attentive and provided great recommendations. Ask for him and you'll likely get the same quality service.
