A 5 Star brunch review! Here we go!
Background: Long time fan of M&P - In fact, its my favorite High End Gastropub eatery that is in PGH! A tall feat considering all of the mouth watering options around town! This amazing trip was a surprise from my friends who had set this up in part for me before I leave town. Considering I had just been at a wedding the night before, It was probably one of the few things that got me up and ready to go when I was told in the morning!
Seating: We had a reservation for noon and I was pleased to find out that we were placed in the private room that is immediately to your left when you enter the bar/dining room.
Menu: The Brunch menu is not expansive but it doesn't have to be like that anyway. Everything on the menu is done to a high level and you can tell when all the food comes out.
Dish: I went with the Bi Bim Bap: (skirt steak / black fried rice / pickled cucumbers / carrots / korean hot sauce / sunny side up egg) and it was Amazing! The flavors paired well and it was a good amount of food.
LIBATIONS: I started with some coffee that was good, not great. No worries though since my mimosa was on point! Smooth and delicious! Lastly, I got the Jefferson's Quill: (bulleit bourbon / strawberry hibiscus / lemon / mint / bitters) which was also very good. I tried several Bloody Mary's which all had great toppings (grape leaves, stuffed mini peppers, dill brussel sprouts) and different juices and infused vodkas!!!
Service: Our waiter was very good. He gave recommendations, was attentive, brought our food and drinks out on time. All in all, he did a good job with a large group.
Check out brunch here at least once! I'll be back for sure!!!
