| - Tonight, for the first night ever since I've touched the U.S. Territory, I have experienced xenophobia. We were in a karaoke bar, and I put my name in to rap The prince of Bel Air in Italian. I started to sing it, and the whole crowd started to scream "USA USA USA," seemingly to drown out my Italian version...I get it, I am in your country! I realize I was singing in a language you didn't understand,BUT, facts:
1: I do speak English, on top of speaking other languages
2: I respect your American culture, and I am blending with you all, i love it!
3: almost all of those people have non-native American heritage, meaning we all come from somewhere different.
I think that it always is unfair to quickly judge others. I think that acceptance is key of today's world. I think that there's so much more than United States or Italy or whatever other country, fuck all nationalism!
There is so much more. Let's love and understand each other, I want to believe that we can be better than that.
