  • My first time flying in and out of this airport was this past weekend. This is the lesser of two evils when it comes to getting into the Phoenix metro area. Much smaller in size than it bigger brother Sky Harbor, it has fewer airlines, only 2 in West Jet and Allegiant. And with just two airlines that means no long waits on the tarmac while lining up for takeoff. Shorter security lines and lesser crowds in and around the airport. The cons to this would be having only 2 airlines means your flight choices are limited not only in destinations but in flight schedules. But if you can schedule your visit around that idea, you may want to give this airport a try. There are currently some renovations and improvements being made in and around the airport.
