| - This is the absolute worst "farmers market" I have ever experienced. I wish I could get the 20 minutes of my life back that it took me to walk there and back home. I show up, reusable tote in hand, ready to fill it with fresh produce, meats and maybe some eggs/cheeses and am a little bit skeptical when the parking lot where the market is located is pretty empty. There were 4 tents and a little booth. At first, I thought the booth at the front was information, but upon further inspection, I see it is people trying to get me to sign a petition. I steer clear of the petitioners and go to check out the vendors. Less doesn't always mean bad--maybe they are all family-owned farms who sell everything...or not. There was literally no produce, meat, eggs or cheese at the farmer's market. One booth was another propaganda-type setup, with someone handing out information on something, one was hummus/salsa, one was selling plants (but not herbs that were usable...) and the other was selling fudge or something. I saw someone else walking and asked if it was just early in the season or something and the guy said no, this location is just terrible and vendors don't go to it. Noted. I trekked home with my empty reusable tote and went to Giant Eagle later that night. FAIL.
