Had really high expectations for this place because I heard the ice was real. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the rink is great! The reason for my rating is due to customer service, which is SO important anywhere. Got to GVR realizing that the ice rink didn't open until 4, so my boyfriend & I were just walking around the pool area taking pictures since we only had 30 minutes to spare. My boyfriend sits down on one of the reserved couches (which didn't have a reserved sign on it, so we didn't think it was gonna be a big deal) for 2 seconds while I checked what time the rink opened and one of the workers comes up to us with a nasty attitude and says "You can't sit here, it's reserved" and then walks away. We weren't planning on staying long, he just needed to sit for a second because I was checking the hours. If he came up to us in a more pleasant mood and approached us as if we were actually future paying customers rather than treat us like we were some delinquent teens loitering, then I would've stayed and gave this place a chance. We ended up leaving and spared our money because I wasn't going to spend money somewhere I am not respected. Please re-train staff to be more accommodating to paying customers.
