  • So, this being WhoFo, which can be very different depending on the city, here's a baseline for this review: I live in Franklin, TN where WhoFo is very very new and very very small, compared to locations out West; my shopping needs were very limited and I don't shop at this location regularly since I'm only visiting Cleveland. On this day, I came for fresh cut fruit for family recuperating at Cleveland Clinic and picked up mango, watermelon, cantaloupe and limes and lemons. I learned from a helpful store associate that this location recently underwent some changes--I don't have experience with this location before the changes, but the associate did say she thought the changes added more items and were all around great. This location has spectacular selections and lay out. Super high ceilings, great lighting (lots of light), and it's just immaculate. The layout allows for great flow; not efficient flow, but flow that makes me feel like I'm in a village market, where the coffee and produce sections are cozier and require more manuevering around stands instead of cutting a swath straight down an isle. The store entry is chock full of potted hibiscus and other flowers and plants. Lots of fresh cut flowers on display as you walk in (I recently read this is an intentional part of the WhoFo experience and actually sets your mood to project freshness on your experience as you go through the store--it works.). Near the fruit and fresh produce at the entrance, I found a dried chilies bar with a variety of chilies that you could use to make pozoles or a mole. The produce is exceedlingly fresh and well-presented. There is wine available at every display of cheese, crackers, you name it. I am comparing this experience to my experience with WhoFo in Franklin, TN, where there are probably more legal restrictions on wine purchases, so I loved seeing wine suggested with so many different food items. It fed my imagination about wine pairings at every corner of this gorgeous store. This store is just chock full of interesting products that made my food imagination soar. Since I'm only visiting, I passed on oh so many things, like a multitude of exotic cheeses and great looking meats, veggies, and fruits. The prepared food section was replete with multiple selections and salad choices. This would be a great place to pop in for lunch.
